POPLINE Thesaurus Online -- English | French | Spanish
Updated for 2007, the Web-based Thesaurus contains 2,400+ keywords used to index POPLINE documents. Available in English, French, and Spanish, we hope it facilitates your searching of POPLINE. While the thesaurus is available in English, French, and Spanish, the keywords used in the POPLINE Database are English. The French and Spanish Thesaurus provide the English term to use when searching POPLINE.

A User's Guide to POPLINE Keywords
Updated June 2007, this Eighth Edition includes new and revised keywords to reflect changing concepts in population, family planning, reproductive health, and related issues. A User's Guide POPLINE Keywords (PDF 1.37MB) is a searchable, printable, listing of the POPLINE keywords in PDF format.

Create instant bibliographies with Internet POPLINE and citation manager software. Many use POPLINE to write articles, reports, and papers. An important part of that process is preparation of a bibliography. POPLINE provides a record display to facilitate this process. Complete instructions.

Import POPLINE References to EndNote
In the Winter 2007, Issue #82 of the APLIC-International Communicator, Tara Murray, Pennsylvania State University, explains creating custom filters for importing POPLINE references into EndNote libraries. You can now have the POPLINE database pushed to your computer. Subscribe to our RSS feeds and have the latest information from POPLINE delivered to your desktop automatically!

POPLINE Database now featured on Hinari
The INFO Project has joined WHO's Health InterNetwork Access to Research Initiative (HINARI) and INFO resources will now be available to developing country researchers and health workers via the HINARI web site at www.who.int/hinari/en/. INFO has become a HINARI publisher partner and HINARI has added a link to INFO's POPLINE database on its journals search screen at http://extranet.who.int/hinari/en/journals.php.
The HINARI program, set up by WHO together with major publishers, enables developing countries to gain access to one of the world's largest collections of biomedical and health literature. Over 3503 journal titles are now available to health institutions in 113 countries, benefiting many thousands of health workers and researchers, and in turn, contributing to improved world health.

POPLINE Record Manager
POPLINE Record Manager is a set of macros for Microsoft Word which format POPLINE records into a customized annotated bibliography with author and subject indexes. The instructions for using POPLINE Record Manager may be downloaded as a Microsoft Word file. Click on the appropriate link below for the version of POPLINE CD-ROM you are using:

In order for Record Manager to work correctly you must be using a standard installation of the NISC version of English, Spanish or French POPLINE CD-ROM and Microsoft Word 97 or Word 8.0.
