Information on Electronic Document Delivery

How do I view the document?
  • When you request e-mail delivery, we will send the document as an attached .PDF. You will need a .PDF viewer in order to open and view your document. If you do not already have access to a .PDF viewer on your computer, you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader for free from the internet.

  • The attachments are encoded to ensure successful transmission through various systems. If your mail reader program does not automatically decode the attachment, use the UUDECODE program.

Will I be able to receive documents via e-mail from POPLINE?
  • The e-mail attachments we send will be 1-2 Mb on average. If you are unable to receive a file of this size, you will be unable to receive e-mail from us.

  • Are you limited by your e-mail service by the size of files you can receive? Some e-mail servers limit the size of files you can receive. If you have questions, please contact your IT Department.

  • Most free-mail services limit the size of attachments you can receive. They also limit the size of mailboxes. If you have questions, please contact your free-mail provider. Links to Free E-mail providers

Hotmail accounts only have 2MB of storage space and a limit of 1MB total size for all messages including attachments. It is recommended that you do not use Hotmail to receive POPLINE documents.

Yahoo mail accounts have 6MB of storage space. This is the only limit on the size of messages you can receive. Again, you must have enough space in your mailbox to accommodate the PDF file.

  • Do you have limited space on your hard drive? Since the attachment we will be sending you can be rather large, you may not be able to receive it.

  • Are you behind a firewall? Some firewalls limit the size of files that can be e-mailed to you. Other firewalls prevent certain types of e-mail to be sent to you. If you have questions about your firewall, please contact your IT Department.
